Service is usually fantastic on even a busy day. Breakfast is the hardest because everything is delicious and plentiful. Prices are fair and the proportions are large. Pancakes...dinner plate sized. Monster cinnamon roll...bring a friend.
We always enjoy stopping here. Friendly staff, large menu, and good food. It's not too far from Nova, yet also makes a good stopping point if headed to or from Charlottesville.

Older diner with some charm. We have been here several times for breakfast. The parking lot is always full but they have plenty of seating. Service is pretty good and the food comes out really quick. The portions are huge especially for the price. Overall a good place to get some food.
Went here for breakfast. Restaurant was roomy and clean. Breakfast of bacon egg whites and grits was good. I appreciated adding my own salt, pepper, and butter to my grits. Our order came out quickly, like 5 minutes. Service was good and friendly, we did have to ask for the check, but still, a good place to have breakfast.
Food at Northside is very good. Pancakes are large, warm, and thick. My pancakes came with warm syrup and soft butter (not frozen). They even tasted like pancakes. I had a generous serving of scrambled eggs. They also had a great taste. My bowl of grits didn't have mush taste to them and neither did my two sausage patties. For me, my sausage patties needed more fat and spices in them, they were too lean to have much taste. I did enjoyed their coffee. Their service was very good.
I went there for the first time with a friend and our dogs. They have a beautiful patio and were very accommodating. The staff was very friendly and quick to bring our dogs water. The food was delicious and fast to arrive. We will definitely come back!
Man this was a seriously good Brunch with great service. So if you're looking for that down home feel with large potions you can't go wrong with this place. The waffles was like cake and chicken crispy as can be. They cooked the scrapple perfect for my eggs.
